Grief Counseling for Children

Children who suffer the loss of a parent or caregiver will have the trajectory of their lives forever changed. The healing process needs to be thoughtful, clinically-informed and sensitive to the needs of both the child and the family. Remember, there is no checklist or timeline that must be followed.

I provide a safe, secure and accepting holding space, where the child or teen is free to explore deep feelings of loss and safely express themselves.

In this space, I work with the child and parent, hand-in-hand, using art and play as a means of expression, helping them understand and contextualize the death, while holding on to the memories of the loved one.

Tears shed for another person are not a sign of weakness. They are the sign of a pure heart.
